As a Swampy Cree woman and proud member of Cumberland House Cree Nation, I've always believed that our greatest stories are found in our families, our communities, and the moments we share together. Born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, I've always had a passion for photography, but my career led me down a different path, one rooted in caring for people. For the past 10 years, I've worked in social services, including six years supporting First Nations children, youth, and families. That work has taught me the importance of connection, love, integrity and seeing people for their beautifully authentic selves. 

Today, I'm most grateful for my two boys, my loving family, and the opportunity to weave those same values into my photography. Flora & Annette Photography is named after my late grandmother, Flora, and my late mother, Yollande Annette, whose love continues to guide me every day. In my Cree upbringing, I've come to understand that we are never separate from those who came before us. We carry our ancestors, their teachings, and their love with us. My grandmother helped shape the path before me, my mother carried me into this world, and today I have the privilege of carrying that love forward through my own children and through the stories I preserve for other families.
